"... a masterpiece of a text - gritty, real, surprising, touching, sophisticated ... REZA"

When Henri and Sonia invite Hubert and Ines Finidori over for dinner, they don’t expect them to arrive an evening earlier, or for their child to scream through the ending, or that their guests might bring potentially career-ending news…Things could have gone better. And maybe they will...

Melbourne Cup Carnival 2016

Du 10 septembre au 5 novembre

Hit play! It’s time reacquaint yourself with hats, heels, horses and all things spring racing at Sofitel Girls' Day Out and celebrate the return of spring at Flemington.

Sofitel Girls’ Day Out features four Group races, including the headline Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes, which signals the beginning of quality middle distance racing for the season. Won by quality horses such as Southern Speed, Shocking, Weekend Hussler and Northerly in recent years, the 1600m weight-for-age feature is a race that commonly unearths a star of the spring.

Sofitel Girls’ Day Out also packs a fashion punch with the much-loved Paris Lane retail and entertainment precinct.

Melbourne Fringe Festival 2016

Du 15 septembre au 2 octobre

Melbourne Fringe is a celebration of cultural democracy and art for everyone. By embracing diversity and a spirit of independence, we create a unique space for artistic self-expression linked to the life of our great city. We’re here to challenge perceptions and shake up the hierarchy, to be brave and unafraid, to explore the boundaries of what art is and can be. And what’s more, everyone’s invited.

That’s why Melbourne Fringe is the most adventurous, inclusive, all-encompassing multi-artform festival in Australia. Every year we feature more than 6000 artists from every discipline you can name, and a few others besides, performing 400+ events in over 160 metro and regional venues to an audience in excess of 300,000 people.

Melbourne Fringe is the place to go for pure, unadulterated, uncurated and unexpected artistic discovery. We help artists develop and provide a platform for a vast, diverse range of voices, in celebration of the idea that when we come together, we create meaning, and beauty, and laughter. This is art by the people, for the people, with the people, so come on in, people. This is Melbourne Fringe.
